Over 400 companies from the public and private sectors participated in the Chandrayaan-3 mission, paving the way for more global and commercial projects.
India's moon mission, Chandrayaan-3, successfully landed near the lunar south pole, making India the fourth nation to achieve this. Private sector companies such as Larsen and Tourbo's aerospace wing, Mishra Dhatu Nigam, Bharat Heavy Electricals, MTAR Technologies, Godrej Aerospace, Ankit Aerospace, and Walchandnagar Industries played crucial roles in supplying components and materials for the mission.
Stocks that were in focus include names like GMR Airport Infrastructure, which was up more than 9% to hit a fresh 52-week high, APL Apollo Tubes, which rose more than 4%, and MTAR Technologies, which closed with gains of nearly 4% to a fresh high on Thursday.
