Critical vehicle shortages hobbling Eastern Cape firefighters
The Eastern Cape has just a quarter of the number of fire engines it needs to properly respond to emergencies. Of the 233 fire trucks required, the province had only 110, of which just 62 were operational, Cogta MEC Zolile Williams said.
