The defence stock, which closed at Rs 11.48 on November 29, 2021 surged to a high of Rs 129 in the current session, clocking over 1,000% returns during the period. In comparison, Sensex has surged 17% during the period. The stock has gained 328% in a year and zoomed 383.35% this year. Shares of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd zoomed 20% today after the firm said it has filed an application with Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), seeking approval to set up an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility. CG Power stock opened flat at Rs 390.85 on BSE. Later, the stock hit a record high of Rs 469, rising 20% after the company made the announcement.  Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 71,629 crore on BSE.  

IRB Infrastructure stock climbed 7.81% to Rs 38.51 on BSE. Market cap of the firm stood at Rs 22,905 crore.

The recent sharp up move in FY24, has already seen some consolidation/correction in the month of October 2023. However, one must note that the rally has been on the back of strong earnings delivery. As a result, most frontline indices are trading at 20-30% lower valuation (in terms of 1-year forward PE) than the peak seen 2 years ago."
