Back in 2013, Patently Apple posted a patent report about a potential MacBook with a detachable display to act as tablet for leisurely reading and web surfing. I thought then as I still do, that it was a very innovative idea for its time. In the end, Apple didn't want to hurt iPad sales and never brought it to market.
