Floods submerge several hundred homes in two sub-districts in Gresik 28th December 2020 Flooding in Gresik, East Java Province, Dec 28, 2020. Gresik, East Java (ANTARA) - Unremitting heavy rains triggered the Kali Lamong River to overflow its bank and cause flooding that swamped hundreds of homes in two sub-districts in Gresik District, East Java Province. The affected sub-districts were Balongpanggan and Benjeng, Head of the Gresik Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Tarso Sugito stated here on Monday. In Balongpanggan, seven villages -- Ngampel, Dapet, Sekarputih, Wotansari, Banjaragung, Pucung, and Karangsemanding -- were flooded, submerging 535 houses and roads at a height of up to 90 cm.
