Confession he made to his attorneys and then informed the authorities that that was all a scheme, apparently he had hired a hit man to kill him so that his son would benefit from a $10 million life insurance policy. the investigation into that particular crime is ongoing. and there are a number of other investigations ongoing including first and foremost who killed alex murdaugh's wife and son in june. so far no one has been arrested and no motive has been given. and then there is a separate investigation looking into the allegation that he stole millions of dollars from his own law firm. then...
