Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued no fewer than 22 people who were abducted and taken across the borders of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, into neighbouring states. This was disclosed by the FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, during a press conference at the command’s headquarters on Friday, May 5, 2023 who mentioned that the rescue was done by the anti-kidnapping outfit. He added that a village chief who was abducted on April 7 in Chida village, Kwali Area Council, Abuja, was also rescued during the May 3 operation.
