Bayonne resident wants to transform former chemical plant into luxury residences, waterfront hub Updated Mar 02, 2021; Facebook Share A former chemical plant in southwestern Bayonne was recently sold to a developer who plans to transform the property into homes and waterfront amenities, adding another chapter to the renaissance expected in that corner of the city. Jimmy Gamal, the new owner of 35 Ave. A, said his plans for the 8.6-acre site include two residential buildings on the eastern side of the road and a waterfront complex on the western side that may include a restaurant, hotel rooms, residential units and a community center.
