Ex-Cop Kim Potter Charged w/ Second Degree Manslaughter In Duante Wright Killing The former Minnesota officer, Kim Potter, 26, who fatally shot Daunte Wright, 20, during a traffic stop, was charged with second-degree manslaughter. Potter was arrested earlier today (April 14). According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Wright’s death is considered a homicide.
