FBI offers reward in Lumberton cold case of three slain women

The loss is still palpable for the families.
“Our lives will never be the same. It has been four very long years, and these cases are unresolved and open for investigation,” said Nancee Bennett in a statement posted to the Lumberton Police Department’s Facebook page on Sunday.
Bennett’s daughter is one of the women discarded by a killer in a neighborhood on Lumberton’s east side.
On April 18, 2017, the bodies of Kristin Noel Bennett, 32, and Rhonda Jones, 36, were found on the same day less than a block apart.
A man looking for a place to smoke crack entered an abandoned house at 505 Peachtree St. and smelled a foul odor, according to the autopsy report.
