Covid lock-down restrictions have separated families, but one teenager is staying in contact with her beloved grandfather by writing and posting ditties to him to cheer him up when she can t visit. Lucy s ditties have brought a smile to her grandfather, Pat Fitzgerald, during the past year as they have been unable to visit each other due to restrictions. Last week, Pat, who hails from Waterville originally, got an extra-special ditty to mark his 81st birthday, with Lucy using her special talent to write a poem on football and Kerry s dreams of ending Dublin s current winning streak.
