Fallen and burned, will the logs be removed?

On March 16, the Bangalore Mirror published a story, ‘Fallen trees, a grave concern,’ narrating how the fallen tree logs have become a hindrance for people who want to visit the burial ground. It further said how the contractor and the BBMP Range Forest Officer had ensured to fix the problem.

Murder in tree acts

“The trees have started drying out and two are almost dead already. There are around 12 trees on Gandhi Bazaar Main Road that had started wilting due to the whitetopping work as the engineer had poured chemicals on the roots, severely damaging them. They were also cut at multiple points during the construction,” said Guru Prasad, a resident of the area.

The Towns Mirror Special: Too much congestion, too little space

A resident stated, “A ‘no entry’ board should be installed at the entrance from Nandi Durga Road. Additionally, a commercial building at the corner with a bank and gym has customers parking two-wheelers on the road, making it challenging for cars from Benson Cross Road to enter Nandi Durga Road.”
