TIRUPATI: R.K. Roja, the YSR Congress Nagari MLA and AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation chairperson, got emotional before the Andhra Pradesh legislative privileges committee meeting in Tirupati on Monday, saying district officials were insulting her by not following the protocol guidelines vis-à-vis their dealings with her as a legislator.

TIRUPATI: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will distribute house site pattas for eligible beneficiaries under the ‘Pedalandariki Illu’ scheme at Urandur village in Srikalahasti constituency on Monday.
According to officials, after distributing house site pattas to a few women beneficiaries, the Chief Minister will address a public meeting. Prior to that, he will interact with beneficiaries and inaugurate a pylon and a model house built under the scheme.

After a six-month-long study at the field level, the AP Amul Dairy, a joint venture of the State government and the Amul Dairy in Gujarat, is scheduled to launch its operation on pilot basis in 50 villages of Madanapalle and Ramasamudram mandals of Chittoor district on Friday.
Chittoor Collector Narayan Bharat Gupta on Thursday inaugurated the first phase of training programme for the digital surveillance and data staff of the 32 Mahila Pala Utpattidarula Sanghams (Mahila Milk Production Associations) attached to the select Rythu Barosa Kendras of various mandals in Chittoor district, at Madanapalle.

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh: Fourteen people were affected after an ammonia gas leak at a milk dairy unit at Bandapalli in Putalapattu Mandal here on Thursday and have been shifted to hospital.
"We got the information that Ammonia gas was leaked at Hatson company milk process unit near Putalapattu at around 5 PM. 14 labourers who were working in that shift are brought to the hospital here in Chittoor. Among them, 3 people are serious and probably will be shifted to SVIMS or Ruia hospital in Tirupati," Dr Narayan Bharat Gupta, Chittoor District Collector said.

At least 14 people were admitted to a hospital after an ammonia gas leak at a milk dairy unit in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor on Thursday, officials said.
The incident happened at Bandapalli in Putalapattu Mandal.
"We got the information that ammonia gas leaked at Hatson company milk process unit near Putalapattu at around 5 pm. 14 labourers who were working in that shift are brought to the hospital here in Chittoor. Among them, 3 people are serious and probably will be shifted to SVIMS or Ruia hospital in Tirupati," Dr Narayan Bharat Gupta, Chittoor District Collector, said.

According to the officials, the incident was reported at Bandapalli in Putalapattu Mandal. Commenting on the gas leak incident, Dr Narayan Bharat Gupta, Chittoor District Collector said the information regarding the gas leak was received at nearly 5 pm.

Chittoor district making rapid strides in afforestation, says MP
Chittoor Member of Parliament N. Reddappa on Wednesday said that each and every household in the district should take part in the mission of Vana Mahotsavam, and come forward to achieve the target of planting two crore saplings in 2020.
Launching the 71st Vana Mahotsavam event at BNR Peta village of Chittoor Rural mandal, the MP said that Chittoor district was making rapid strides in afforestation and social forestry schemes. “Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had set a target of planting 20 crores saplings this year. In order to effectively fight global warming and rising pollution, it is the duty of every household in the State to plant at least ten saplings each. Officials should be at the forefront in carrying out this ambitious mission,” he said.

Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh) [India], April 20 (ANI): Out of 24 new corona positive cases reported in Srikalahasti temple town on Sunday, eight are employees of police, municipality and revenue departments.
Taking note of the tensed situation prevailing in the town, District Collector held a high power committee meeting as the red zones were identified.
"On Sunday, 24 corona positive cases were reported in the town. Some of them are from revenue, police, and municipal departments. Now we are shifting them to Tirupati Ruia Hospital and collecting details and samples of their contacts. We have been disinfecting the areas where they reside," Srikalahasti Municipal Commissioner Srikanth told ANI over the phone.

Solomon Arokiaraj, Secretary to Chief Minister, has instructed officials at all levels to resolve the grievances received during the Spandana programme at the earliest and in a humane manner.
Addressing officials from Chief Minister’s Office(CMO) and of Chittoor and Kadapa districts at a regional-level sensitisation workshop on Friday, he said the representations should be entered into the system, the complainants should be given a receipt as an acknowledgement and the issue should be resolved upon proper enquiry by the officials at their respective levels in the bureaucratic set-up.
