Figurines representing Russian President Vladimir Putin as a devil and Polish protesters were among the unusual characters making an appearance in traditional Nativity scenes in Krakow at the weekend.In one Nativity scene, a figurine depicting Putin as a devil could be seen.
Pope Francis pointed to Mary as the model of this kind of prayerful posture before the Nativity scene.
"Many are traditional, but some are more whimsical, some are funny, I love the thousands of ways you can tell the same story," said collector Anne Taylor.
