Svein Rikard Mathisen (guitar) and John Derek Bishop (sampling) released the critically acclaimed album &quot;Calm Brutalism&quot; on Curling Legs / Grappa Musikkforlag in 2022.<br>
John Derek Bishop (aka Tortusa) is a musician and producer in various forms of electronic music. He released the solo album &quot;I know this Place - The Eivind Aarset Collages&quot; on Jazzland Recordings in 2016 and was nominated for the Spellemannsprisen award for the album. He has since released four albums on Jazzland that have received good reviews in the international magazines Mojo, Prog Magazine, and Future Music. Bishop has been a performer, composer and producer on over fifty releases over the past 15 years. In recent years, Bishop has toured extensively with various groups in Germany, England, Poland, France and Norway.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Svein Rikard Mathisen is a Norwegian guitarist and composer who has released the albums &quot;Copenhagen Diaries&quot; (2015) and &quot;Monsters&quot; (2017) under his own name. With his band Somebody&#39;s Quartet, he has given concerts in Scandinavia and Germany. Mathisen&#39;s cinematic jazz music was highlighted by Lars Mossefinn on the Europe Jazz Media Chart in 2017. Mathisen has also collaborated with saxophonist Inge W. Breistein on the album &quot;Gadgets&quot; (2018) and the commissioned work &quot;Mutant&quot; for Nattjazz 2017.&nbsp;<br>

<p>Wow Sailor is the name of the solo project of musician, composer and producer Kim Reenskaug. Wow Sailor is currently working on her debut album Happy Fear. The album was composed, recorded and mixed by Reenskaug, who weaves field recordings, samples and synthesizers into an atmospheric, emotional and meditative landscape. Renowned trumpeter Arve Henriksen and vocalist Synne Sanden both make guest appearances on the album. They help to make the soundscapes large and emotional. Stig Reenskaug, the artist&#39;s brother, guests with soaring and dynamic violin and earthy, warm guitar. The album is about the opposites of joy and fear, how they both frolic in our emotional spectrum and how they can cleverly hang together and live side by side in us throughout life.</p>

<p>The concert version of &quot;Happy Fear&quot; alternates between being performed in solo, trio and quintet format. The material is rearranged and made more improvised, with more freedom for the musicians, but with the same atmosphere. This was done at a sold-out release concert at Sentralen, November 2022, and three sold-out concerts in Emanuel Vigeland&#39;s Mausoleum in May 2023. The solo format was shown for the first time at Winter Solstice, Kroloftet in 2022, at &Oslash;stre in Bergen in June 2023, and as support for Synne Sanden in Italy and Bulgaria in the fall of 2023.<br>
