P2-M cigarette smuggling try foiled, 3 Indonesians nabbed
Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) thwart P2-M cigarette smuggling attempt, 3 Indonesians apprehended. On December 11, 2023, NFEM intercepted a banca carrying over 50 cartons of smuggled cigarettes on Balut Island, Sarangani. The suspects face charges under R.A. 10847. The seized cigarettes are under inspection at the BOC warehouse in Panabo City. Ongoing investigation aims to identify the owner of the illicit shipment.
