NCP split: Sharad Pawar on Sunday said he will be in New Delhi on October 6 to present his side to the Election Commision
Taking on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sule said that the “invisible hand” from Delhi has been instrumental in breaking parties and homes.
NCP's Jitendra Awhad rejected a claim made by Praful Patel that the letter of support to Nagaland Chief Minister by Nagaland’s NCP MLAs meant that the NCP was ready to be part of the NDA led by the BJP.
Praful Patel, a rebel leader of the NCP, has stated that there is no comparison between the split in the Shiv Sena and the NCP. Patel believes that the faction led by Ajit Pawar is the true NCP and that the party can only function within the parameters of its own constitution. He also mentioned that in Nagaland, the NCP has officially declared that their MLAs would join the NDA government. Patel's remarks may not be well-received by the Shinde camp of Shiv Sena, who are his ruling partners in Maharashtra.
It may be recalled here that in July 2023, Ajit Pawar vertically split the party, later garnering support from more NCP MLAs than his uncle Sharad Pawar.
