Sorsogon Governor Francis Escudero (PNA file photo) LEGAZPI CITY - The provincial government of Sorsogon announced on Monday the reopening of its doors to both local and foreign tourists with better infrastructure, improved facilities, and more attractions in several tourism sites. In a statement, Governor Francis Escudero assured that "a more beautiful and better" province awaits tourists when they visit Sorsogon as travel restrictions are eased around the country with the decline in coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases. Kate Young, spokesperson of Metro Dumaguete Water (MDW), told the Philippine News Agency on Monday that the Dumaguete City Water District (DCWD) has deferred the water rate hike to help the people who are still reeling from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the onslaught of Typhoon Odette, and the current hike in fuel prices.
