What s up grrrlies, today I m talking about Riot Grrrl, the feminist punk genre and political movement originating in Olympia, WA in the early 90s. This is one of my favourite and most listened-to genres so I hope you guys like it! I played some contemporary stuff in the second half of the show which I guess isn t officially Riot Grrrl because that kinda began and died in the 90s but they have the same energy and message so I thought it would be a bit more interesting to highlight some of that too!
