Neil Danns is relishing the opportunity to share his wisdom and knowledge of the game to the next generation in his coaching role at the Liverpool FC Academy.
The 38-year-old has personal experience of attempting to achieve the dream of representing the Reds at senior level, having joined the club at the age of 12.
Danns decided against agreeing a scholarship with Liverpool, though, and embarked on a lengthy - and still active - career with a variety of clubs in English football.
The Scouser also plays for Guyana internationally and is not ready to hang his boots up just yet, as he hopes to feature in a tournament for his country in the summer.

Town are waiting on full-back Moritz Volz ahead of Saturday s trip to Crystal Palace. The German has a groin problem and is rated 50/50 to take his place at right-back, but better news is that the Blues can call on midfielder Veliche Shumulikoski after his one-game ban.
If fit, Volz is likely to take his usual role at on the right of the defence with David Wright out for around another week with his hamstring problem. Otherwise, Alex Bruce will play in the right-back position he filled last week until Iván Campo picked up the calf problem which will keep him out for a month.

Duo Set to Revive Partnership at Leicester - Ipswich Town News

Duo Set to Revive Partnership at Leicester

Ívar Ingimarsson and Ibrahima Sonko look set to revive their central defensive partnership from their days at Reading when the Blues take on Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day (KO 3pm). Town boss Paul Jewell is forced into the change with Danny Collins having returned to Stoke at the end of his loan.
The Blues manager says he has three options, Ingimarsson, Damien Delaney and Tommy Smith, none of whom have played much first team football in recent weeks.
In addition to his experience of playing alongside Sonko, the Icelander has been involved more often than the other two alternatives of late with his last game the 4-0 defeat at Burnley at the end of November and it seems likely that he’ll get the nod.
