KATHMANDU, Sept 26: In a significant diplomatic stride, the People's Republic of China and Nepal have released a comprehensive joint statement, marking a pivotal moment in their bilateral relations. The statement, issued in Beijing after extensive talks between the prime ministers of both nations, underscores the deepening ties between the two countries. This historic event unfolded during the official visit of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to China, extended by Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.
Nepal accuses China of encroaching into the border: A report from the government of Nepal accused that China has encroached into the western Nepal across the shared border. The report was submitted in September last year after China trespassed into the district of Humla.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday announced that the country would provide a million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal to prevent the further spread of coronavirus. Jinping announced the assistance during a telephone conversation with Nepal's President Bidya Devi Bhandari held earlier on Wednesday.
