Highland Council has been panned for its plans to illuminate the Inverness Town House and the Ness Bridge for the coronation.
But the reprieve will be short-lived – the first phase has finished ahead of schedule, but workers will be back from April 23 to May 26.
ROADWORKS have begun on a busy bridge in the heart of Inverness, with traffic restricted to one lane for up to six weeks.
