The Karnataka Rashtra Samiti members were out on the padayatra to the city, seeking justice for Sowjanya. They began the padayatra on August 26 and reached Dharmasthala by evening. The stray dog joined them on August 27 morning as they began walking from the Nethravathi Bathing Ghat.
