A main road through Newtown will be closed for five days next week while work is carried out to install underground low voltage cables. The road closure on the A4811 New Road will be in place from 9am to 4pm from Monday, May 10, to Friday, May 14. Bosses at Network Plus have applied to Wigan Council to make changes to their former Balfour Beatty training centre site off Chaddock Lane.
