Coimbatore: The crime branch (CCB) of the city police on Monday arrested a couple for cheating a garment unit owner of Rs 5.5 crore. The arrested have been identified as P Sivakumar, 42, and his wife S Sathya Priya, 40, from Cheran Maa Nagar. They were booked under sections 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code. The couple was produced before a judicial magistrate on Monday and later remanded in judicial custody.
