Since the end of the Civil War, it has been argued that formerly enslaved Africans and their ancestors should receive reparations. Unfortunately, whenever discussions about reparations have occurred, the dialog has gotten bogged down, if not completely derailed, by questions of who should receive reparations, who should pay reparations, and lastly how much should be paid.
