Defibrillator stolen from Newport church
A DEFIBRILLATOR has been stolen from outside Newport Methodist Church. The device, which restores a normal heartbeat by sending an electric pulse or shock to the heart, was taken from the building in Quay Street at some point between February 1 and 9. Medical staff in a passing ambulance had noticed the light flashing on the cabinet container in which the defibrillator is usually stored, upon closer inspection they realised it had been removed.
