Bungie Has Delayed the Next Destiny 2 Expansion Destiny 2 assistant game director Joe Blackburn has officially confirmed that the next expansion releasing for the action-MMO will be delayed until 2022. According to Blackburn, The Witch Queen was delayed to properly flesh out the full arc of Destiny 2’s post-launch content, and releasing the expansion too early could compromise an unannounced Lightfall chapter, and thus impact the story arc itself.
