A total of 32 locations in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, as well as the Union Territory of Chandigarh, were raided by NIA teams as part of the mega operation that began early Thursday morning.
The raids are currently underway in 11 locations in Karnataka, three location in Maharashtra, four areas in Jharkhand and one in Delhi.
The searches were carried out through close coordination and operational assistance of the police from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Delhi, the official said.
In a major action, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out searches at 19 locations and arrested eight operatives of banned terror outfit ISIS's Ballari module , including its leader Minaz, and foiled plans to carry out terror acts, IED blasts in particular.
