Lucien Favre s Borussia Dortmund were taken apart by Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon as the visitors romped to a 5-1 thrashing at Signal Iduna Park. The loss means that Dortmund slip out of the Bundesliga top four as they are defeated at home for the third consecutive match in the league.
In a fairly uneventful first 45, it was the visitors who dominated the chances, as the pace and power of Tanguy Coulibaly proved too much for the hosts back line to handle. Their pressure eventually led to a penalty, which Silas Wamangituka converted. Despite their creative domination, Stuttgart failed to capitalise, and just before the break 18-year old Giovanni Reyna equalised sublimely.
