sensex fall today: Sensex plunges 400 points, Nifty near 21,000 as bears continue to rule D-Street
The market breadth was tilted heavily in favour of the bears with 45 stocks in the Nifty50 pack trading in the red, four in the green while one was unchanged. The top five gainers were ONGC, Reliance Industries (RIL), HDFC Bank, UltraTech Cement Company and Grasim Industries while the top losers were Axis Bank, Cipla, Bajaj Auto, Larsen & Toubro and Dr Reddy's Laboratories.
