A California family is waiting on tenterhooks for the release of their nephew held hostage in the Gaza Strip by Hamas. The family of Amit Shani say the teen was kidnapped in the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel and that he witnessed his village destroyed and classmates killed.

Two relatives whose loved ones are believed to have been kidnapped by Hamas said they cannot move forward until all the hostages are freed -- and one said he's open to a ceasefire if it means bringing them home.
