Dhankhar said that by scrapping the National Judicial Appointment Commission, which was established by an Act of parliament, the top court severely compromised parliamentary sovereignty.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Bar has renewed its call for amendments to the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) Act 2009.
"The basic fault with the present collegium system is that the judges are recommending those colleagues whom they know. Obviously, they would not recommend a judge they do not know," the law minister said.
