The Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government issued a circular to all schools in Hong Kong on the 24th, announcing the requirements and relevant details that newly recruited teachers must pass the Basic Law and Hong Kong National Security Law tests starting from the 2023/2024 school year. The spokesman said that from this school year, newly recruited teachers in public sector schools in Hong Kong must pass the Basic Law Test before they can be considered for employment.
