Nigerian whistleblower, Nnamdi Emeh, who exposed an alleged organ trafficking ring in the Anambra State Command of Nigerian Police Force has petitioned the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja over his continued incarceration despite court granting him bail. Emeh in the petition dated October 3, 2023, through his Counsel, Justus Ijeoma accused the Deputy Chief Registrar, Federal High Court in Awka, Nkem Mba, of alleged “unprofessional conduct” in processing his bail because his family could not pay N1 million she allegedly demanded as gratification to process the bail.

Giving reasons for the petition, the advocates explained that Marlian Records recruits young boys to peddle drugs as well as indulge in drug-related activities.

Nnamdi Emeh, who exposed an organ trafficking ring in Anambra police command, will likely be released on bail on Monday, SaharaReporters has learnt. However, it was also learnt that the police had finalised plans to rearrest Emeh as soon as he was released on bail. SaharaReporters earlier reported that 26-year-old Emeh, a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and an IT consultant to the Anambra State Police Command had been in detention since March 3, 2023.
