The second-seeded Jaguars defeated seventh-seeded Dublin Jerome 25-20, 25-18, 25-21 in a Division I, East Region final at 5 p.m. that Friday to qualify for state for the first time since 2012. After the victory, they were shuttled to another milestone, high school graduation at 7 p.m. in Ohio State’s Schottenstein Center. Senior outside hitter Jonah Gilbert had 37 kills in the match, which took approximately 70 minutes to play. Gilbert was pleased with the outcome but wanted to get to graduation. ....
