One person was taken to an area hospital and is in serious condition, police said.
Multiple lanes of the highway were blocked following the collision.
Two other people were hospitalized following the deadly collision, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
This fox is the third animal in Lexington County to test positive for rabies in 2022, according to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
