February 5, 2021 GRUNDY COUNTY Four people were injured in an accident just after 7:30p.m. Thursday in Grundy County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Jeep Wrangler driven by Madison L. Searcy, 20, Trenton, was southbound on U.S. 65 one mile south of MO 6 in Trenton. The driver was using cruise-control when the vehicle struck black ice. The driver lost control of the Wrangler. It slid and struck a 2006 Jeep Compass driven by Daniel P. Burch, 29, Princeton, head-on. Mercer County ambulance transported Burch to Wright Memorial Hospital and then Life Flight transported him to Liberty North. Grundy County Ambulance transported Searcy and passengers in the Wrangler Noah B. Lewis, 19 and Courtney D. Weyer, 25, both of Trenton to Wright Memorial Hospital. Life Flight then transferred Weyer to Liberty North. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
