Intern for Executive Office

Background information/Organizational Context:
Iran is one of the largest refugee hosting countries in the world and is one of the principal host countries for Afghan refugees – one of most protracted refugee situations under UNHCR’s mandate. UNHCR is the largest UN agency in Iran and the only one with field presence, operating in 5 main offices in Tehran, Esfahan, Mashhad, Kerman and Shiraz.
Working in the Executive Office, the intern will mainly assist the External Engagement Unit in its support of the Representative and Deputy Representative, as and where required, The intern will be able to acquire fundamental skills in Donor Relations and External Relations, as well as become familiar with other functions and processes in UNHCR, especially Programme and Protection.
