Civic Group Issues Seven-Day Ultimatum To Nigeria's North-East Development Commission, NEDC Over Exclusion Of Youths From Programmes
The North-East Alliance for Good Governance, a civic group, has called for protests in the region after it issued a 7-day ultimatum to the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) for allegedly marginalising and excluding young people from the region from its development agenda of the region. The group in the ultimatum issued on Monday and signed by its Chairman, Muhammad Auwal, called on the commission to create a platform for youth inclusion that enables them to make a tangible impact on the development of the region, as initially envisioned when the commission was established.
