Seattle DJC.com local business news and data - Real Estate - For over $14M, NorthPoint adds 150 acres to big logistics site

Real Estate Editor NorthPoint Development of Kansas City, Missouri, is planning to develop over 4 million square feet at its Cascade Logistics Park. The project, spanning about 426 acres, straddles the line between Marysville and Arlington. It'll have some combination of logistics, industrial, manufacturing and warehouse space in a possible nine buildings. The site is in the Arlington Marysville Manufacturing Industrial Center, or AMMIC, where tax incentives and zoning changes have lately prompted a surge in industrial development.

Ingersoll Machine Tools broke ground on an expansion that will add 40K SF to its 500K SF campus in Rockford, Illinois. The manufacturer creates machine tools for the aerospace and other industries and will use the new space to help build a mount weighing nearly 2,000 tons for the Giant Magellan Telescope under construction in Chile.
