Manufacturing industry in this country. there are other lobbies, we know that. there s a pharma lobby, there s a corn lobby. we use drugs and we eat corn but we don t have a membership card that says you re a part of that lobby. we don t like it when those lobbies write our legislation but that s kind of what the nra is doing. we need to start to think of the nra not just as a membership organization, which it may or may not be, but as the gun lobby in america. i agree, i don t know why companies would take the lead on this. they may be the only hope because they re not beholden to the nra. they may be the only hope. some of them are dropping partnership programs with the nra. enterprise holdings, you know it, they run enterprise rent-a-car, they run aalamo, thy run nationally. th first national bank of omaha had a co-branded credit card with the nra. they re dropping it. metlife is dropping their relationship. enterprise is as well. remember, we say it all the ....

It actually isn t. that s why democrats didn t do it when they had total control. no, it s not. now it s time for us take the nra out. what do you mean? it s time for us tolimit the control of the nra has over the congress because people are dying. it means that we start standing up organizations and fund them to do things very differently from what the nra is doing. there are billions of people okay. you want to take me out? how do you do that? what i said, if you want to have a conversation. i am. i m asking. you re not listening. i m asking a real question. do you want to listen or not? do you want to listen now or still want to host? i m asking. okay. what i said, was there s organizations that are being stood up to combat the narratives, the policies, and the nra pushes and we need to fund those organizations to ensure that the nra s voice is not just muted. ....
Money some where else even if your coffers dry up? i don t care what the nra is doing. this is not about the nra. this is really about well minded people who have valued and principals to be able to persuade other candidates running for office to ban these assault weapons. that s all they are. they need to be banned. i m going to work toward that. so, yes, i was republican finance chairman under george w. bush for the 2000 election and the reelection. we did raise over $600 million in those cycles, well over that. i know. but now i intend to contact every single republican donor that i have in my little rolodex file here and i want to persuade them to hold up their check to their candidates until we can come around and create a movement here that does the right thing. it s important that we do that and it s for the children. it s not for anybody else but ....
