24-year-old remanded in custody after he admitted robbing filling station shop Jamie Quilligan from Chestnut Close, Nutley Avenue in Mahon pleaded guilty today at Cork Circuit Criminal Court to robbery of €705 at the Circle K Garage on Blackrock Road on November 17th last The court heard that Mr Quilligan went into the filling station shop with a mask on his face and armed with a machete which he slammed down on to the counter as he demanded cash. The staff member handed over the till tray but the 24-year-old s mask slipped and staff were able to give gardai a description and he was caught a short distance away after changing his clothing. ....
