Resignations announced for police chief, officer involved in death of Duante Wright
Stephen Maturen/Getty Images (MINNESOTA) — The officer who shot and killed Duante Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, during a traffic stop announced her resignation Tuesday. Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon has also resigned. The officer accused of killing Wright has been identified as Kim Potter, who served in the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, police department for 26 years. Her resignation was effective immediately.
