The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has developed a software to carry out checks of occupation certificates (OCs) by picking them randomly online, making the process more transparent. Find out more about this software and its impact on the OC issuance process.
Architects in the meeting urged the DTCP to create two lists of work — one containing the minimum work required on site and the other with tasks that are not required to be done on the site — for issuing OCs.
Under the self-certification policy issued in November last year, the architects were empowered to issue occupation certificates (OC) following which they had to submit the file at the office of district town planner.
The registration of 20,000 more flats is likely to be permitted by the Authority in two-three months, and discussions regarding the same are already underway.
