Bhubaneswar, Feb 22 : Odisha Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari presented the annual budget for 2021-22 with an outlay of Rs 1.7 lakh crore in the state Assembly on Monday.
Pujari also presented a separate agriculture budget of Rs 17,468 crore.
The Minister said despite the severe impact of Covid-19 pandemic, the state s own revenue is estimated to register a robust growth of about 10 per cent during 2020-21, though there is a decline in the central transfer.
In the budget, the state government has proposed to spend Rs 3,500 crore over the period of three years to convert SCB Medical College and Hospital into AIIMS Plus institute to provide world-class healthcare facilities to citizens.

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], December 24 (ANI): In a significant move towards providing dwelling houses to urban poor, a total number of 1,39,149 dwelling houses have been sanctioned for homeless persons in 114 towns and cities of Odisha under the Odisha Urban Housing Mission (OUHM).
This was known from the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring (SLSM) committee meeting held via digital mode under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra.
Reviewing the progress made so far, Development Commissioner Mohapatra directed the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to intensify Jaga mission activities in their respective areas.

Bhubaneswar: In a significant move towards providing dwelling houses to urban poor, a total number of 1, 39,149 dwelling houses have been sanctioned for homeless households in 114 towns and cities of Odisha. This was known from the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring (SLSM) committee meeting held on digital mode under the Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Sri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra from Lokseba Bhawan today wherein Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Sri G. Mathivathanan outlined the issues for discussion.
Reviewing the progress made so far, Development Commissioner Sri Mohapatra directed the urban local bodies (ULBs) to intensify Jaga mission activities in their respective areas. Sri Mohapatra said, “House is the bare basic need of the urban poor and allotting a piece of homestead land to the landless will be an effective encounter to urban poverty. Right over a piece of land, while enabling access of the urban poor to OUHM programmes will also add to their identity and self-dignity”.
