here to pepeka. no fatalities. nine people were injured there. one person critically injured. governor of kansas is declaring state of emergency there. let s get right to our meteorologist rob marciano who is tracking these storms for us. that same line that produced the tornadoes last night across parts of kansas and missouri moving into parts of kentucky and indiana and illinois. dangerous storm with a tornado dropped down to harrisburg, illinois, damage there and search and rescue actually under way. that s with this line and this cell moving just to the south of evansville, indiana, just to the north of hender son, kentucky. another storm just northeast of paducah. another one just southwest of that. these are strong storms moving quickly. 65 to 70 miles an hour. and in somepla places it s stil dark. tornado watch is up until noontime central for parts of kentucky and also it s kind of sliding back through just north of memphis. this storm is a big one. it stretch ....
From the different agencies. they got the call, too. they got the call, there was a man in the with a gun in the building and received a call as an active shooter. any time law enforcement gets a call of active shooter there s a multi-agency response to that situation, including the february and alcohol, tobacco and firearms agency and the city of chardon and geauga county. geauga county will be the lead in this investigation. a mass source went out to the students and reverse 911 went to the parents around a quarter to 8:00 this morning. as a result of that mass notification, all the students were told, get shelter in place and go into a lockdown situation. as we all know that s what they did. which means wherever you re at, lock the doors, turn off the lights and stay off the cell phone. you can text but don t call because we don t want to jam the system. that s exactly what happened. now, the police weren t sure ....

Mitt romney, obviously the presidential candidate wrote, i am greatly saddened to hear about the senseless shooting that struck the community of chardon, ohio this morning. anne and i join in prayers for the victims and their families. still no word from the hospitals on exactly what the situation is, what the condition is of those students, although we got confirmation from hillcrest hospital run by the cleveland clinic that they are treating one boy and one girl. we believe three boys and one girl were shot today. we have john ya thrng, a correspondent who is continuing to make calls and he ll provide some per speblgtive on this. we ll take a break and come back with the very latest after this.
