Goal in all of this, a negotiating position with the afghan government or ultimate control? i don't believe that their objective is to completely take over the whole country again because they saw that that did not really work out well the first time. they actually from 96 when they started as an organisation were never able to can fully conquer the territory. i think what you will see them want to do is to rule and govern in the areas where they are the majority. and i think that they will be willing to make negotiated deals like what happened in the korean war and the vietnam war is over oth...
