The students launched the encampment, they said, following similar protests at Columbia University and other colleges and universities across the United States.
Around 250 Washington University students and community members staged a pro-Palestine march from Forest park to Olin Library and set up an encampment just outside the library before moving it to the East End of campus, April 27.
Washington University students have established an encampment on campus to call for divestment from Boeing, which manufactures weapons as well as planes, and in a show of support for Palestinians in Gaza.
