MLB Trade Rumors Let the circle be complete. The Brewers have acquired catcher Jacob Notthingham from the Mariners for cash considerations, per the Mariners (via Twitter). The Brewers designated Notthingham for assignment this past Wednesday, at which point the Mariners claimed him off waivers. But with Omar Narvaezheaded to the injured list, the Brewers once again found themselves in need of a catcher. Nottingham did not appear in a game for the Mariners.
